April 2017 - During the last few weeks, the corn and soybean seeds for the second field trials campaign were treated at Aegilops facility. In total 95 kg of corn seeds corresponding to 8 different varieties and 340 kg of soybean seeds with 2 different varieties were treated with biostimulant modalities.
The seeds are treated, packaged and sent in Europe to external contractor for field trials. All the process has to take place in a short time period delimited by the reception of untreated seed from seed company and sowing date for field trials that vary from a country to another.
The seeds are treated with a different seed coater depending on the batch volume to prepare. For volume smaller than 2 kg down to 500 g, the seeds are treated with a ML2000 from Satec. For batch volume larger than 2 kg up to 10 kg, the seeds are treated with a CentriCoater CC10 from Cimbria.
