Tecnoflon® Fluoroelastomers (FKM) and Perfluorelastomers (FFKM) are highly resilient synthetic rubbers that retain critical properties in chemically aggressive environments at extreme temperatures. Unlike traditional elastomers based on carbon-hydrogen or silicon-oxygen bonds, Tecnoflon® products derive their uniquely superior properties from the strength of carbon-fluorine bonds. Tecnoflon® FKM and FFKM are also highly resistant to UV light and ozone.
Market Applications
O-rings, seals and gaskets made from Tecnoflon® FKM and FFKM retain their shape, strength and flexibility at extreme temperatures. Tecnoflon® FFKM NFS: pioneering sealing solutions without the use of fluorosurfactants
Tecnoflon® FFKM Non-Fluorosurfactant (NFS) perfluoroelastomers use our proprietary Non-Fluorosurfactant (NFS) technology. These grades meet the rigorous demands of various industries, including semiconductors, aerospace, automotive, energy and industrial and set a new standard for sealing performance in extreme conditions, now without the use of fluorosurfactants. By eliminating the use of fluorosurfactants, Tecnoflon® FFKM NFS maintains the high performance expected from Syensqo's advanced materials, ensuring reliability and excellence in the most demanding applications.
Tecnoflon® FKM and FFKM Product Lines
Tecnoflon® FKM and FFKM products differ in fluorine content and curing methods, making it possible to tailor varying combinations of heat and chemical resistance. Both product families are easily processed using injection and compression molding.
Tecnoflon® FKM fluoroelastomers consist of copolymers and terpolymers with a fluorine content of 66% and 68-70% respectively. They are available as base polymers (gumstock) or products formulated with ionic or peroxide curable systems. Base-resistant and low-temperature grades are available.
