LIFE STIMUL Project

Project Structure

LIFE STIMUL project is coordinated by RHODIA OPERATIONS S.A.S., subsidiary of SOLVAY GROUP.
AEGILOPS is the Associated Beneficiary.

The project, registered as LIFE14 ENV/FR/000493, started on August 1st, 2015 to end in July 2021.

The project is divided into 4 main activities

  1. Implementation actions
  2. Monitoring of the impact
  3. Dissemination of the results
  4. Project management

Regarding the implementation activities, the first action concerned the validation of the application process, this activity will be led by Solvay. In parallel, Aegilops will coordinate the validation of the seed treatment technologies, and Solvay will manage the organization and analysis of agronomic tests.

Aegilops

Created in February 2002, AEGILOPS is a French SME specialized in design and production of technological application agents for seeds treatment. AEGILOPS work at solving issues met by seed producers and farmers in the application of registrated substances to protect seeds from diseases and insects before being sowed. As a matter of fact, seed treated with an application technology badly controlled could cause serious damages on yields. With strong support from its R&D laboratory and expert team, AEGILOPS design technological agents able to optimize the position of active substances on numerous seeds (wheat, barley, corn, canola, soybean …) and limit dust emission to operator and environment.
