Multi-Functional Materials for Aircraft Blades and Propellers

Our extensive portfolio of multi-functional materials for aircraft blades offers solutions for every type of aircraft. With years of technical and processing expertise, our engineers and scientists partner with various OEMs to meet the unique challenges of manufacturing rotor blades, propulsion blades, drone blades, and UAM propellers.

Rotor Blades

Syensqo provides a variety of toughened and highly toughened prepregs in both carbon and fiberglass grades for evolved blades and yokes. Additionally, our solutions for rotorcraft blades include slit tape and pre-plied product forms, primers and surfacing materials, as well as paste and film adhesives. These proven products deliver high dimensional and weight tolerances, fatigue critical and damage tolerant designs, extremely thick structures such as yokes and lag-dampers, hybrid architectures, process flexibility, and multi-functional designs including tips, leading, and trailing edges.

Propulsion Blades

Our solutions for propulsion blades include highly toughened prepregs, toughened infusion resins, and high-temperature materials. These exceptional materials for propulsion blades are designed to help OEMs develop wide chord blades, impact and bird-strike critical blades with high dimensional and weight tolerances, and multi-functional components such as leading and trailing edges.

Drone Blades

We offer an extensive selection of specialty polymers for drone propellers and blades. Our unique portfolio of products and technologies for commercial drone applications paired with the right processes help our customers meet increasingly complex combinations of safety, performance at extreme conditions, high rate manufacturing, and reliability demands.

UAM Propellers

Syensqo offers primers, surfacing materials, paste and film adhesives,  toughened prepregs, and infusion resins with various reinforcements for UAM and AAM propellers and blades.
