Solar Impulse

At Syensqo, we develop the technologies and innovations needed to enable a sustainable future. To help us with this, we work with like minded partners, such as the Solar Impulse Foundation, to explore the future of science, with the ambitious aim of making things that once seemed impossible, possible.

In 2016, the Solar Impulse became the first solar-powered plane to fly around the world – and our technology was on board. We were the first technological partner to be involved in this historic flight, which showed the power of science and innovation in opening up new frontiers for exploration in the area of clean mobility.

Since then, we have continued to pursue our journey together to develop the sustainable solutions our world needs. This includes contributing to the Solar Impulse Foundation’s World Alliance for Efficient Solutions, aimed at identifying solutions that help to fight climate change and improve the quality of life on earth in a financially profitable way.

In April 2021, the Alliance announced it had surpassed its target of identifying “1000 solutions to change the world” and committed to going further. Among these solutions are six Syensqo products, all aligned with key megatrends that will contribute to a more sustainable world, such as clean mobility, lightweighting, electrification and resource efficiency.

For us, this is only the beginning. We continue to work with Solar Impulse to explore new possibilities with the potential to shape the future, engaging across our growth platforms and our venture capital activities to make new breakthroughs that advance humanity.
