Face Shields and Tabs
Syensqo’s portfolio of high performance materials features Udel® PSU and Radel® PPSU films for use in face shields as well as tabs for Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPRs) and Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs).
The films are transparent, resistant to disinfectants, and sterilizable. They are available in thicknesses ranging from 0.24 to 40mil (6µm to 1mm). The film surface can be customized with a gloss/gloss or gloss/matte surface finish configuration to optimize optical performance.
Filtration Media
Syensqo has an extensive network of filtration and separation partners who manufacture membranes and fibers for air and water filtration, hemodialysis, and biopharmaceutical processing. As the need for filtration devices increases, we can help with your emergency production. We have a portfolio of high performance polymers that are inherently resistant to harsh chemicals and high temperature environments. Moreover, many are compatible with aggressive disinfectants and a variety of sterilization techniques.
Breathing System Components
Syensqo’s medical-grade Udel® PSU, Veradel® PESU, and Radel® PPSU resins are ISO 10993 biocompatible and can be used to produce sterilizable components for breathing devices such as connectors and fittings. These polymers are characterized by:
- High strength, durability and impact strength
- Strong resistance to chemical cleaners and disinfectants
- Sterilizable by steam, EtO, hydrogen peroxide and gamma radiation
- Low creep under sustained loads at high temperatures
- Transparent and opaque colors available
High-performance polymers, including KetaSpire® PEEK, Ixef® PARA, and Amodel® PPA, have the strength, stiffness and dimensional stability needed for internal structural components and housings for breathing devices.
