Microchip Test Sockets

Demand the Industry’s Highest Performing Thermoplastic

Solvay-microchip-test-sockets-application-part

Outstanding Strength and Stiffness up to 275°C (525°F)

Specialty Polymers can provide greater compressive strength and higher impact resistance than most advanced engineering plastics. Superior toughness from cryogenic to 275°C (525°F) makes them ideal for severe service environments.

Torlon® PAI: Replacing Metal in High-Temperature Wear Applications

Solvay-microchip-test-sockets-application-infographic

Torlon® PAI exhibits greater compressive strength and higher impact resistance than most advanced engineering plastics. Thanks to its inherent chemical and temperature resistance it is the ideal alternative to metal in high temperature friction and wear applications. High creep resistance and an extremely low coefficient of linear thermal expansion (CLTE), provide excellent dimensional stability. Other Torlon® PAI key features are:

  • Low CTE from -60° to 160°C
  • Retains strength to 260°C
  • Dimensional stability to 270°C (SMT process)
  • Precision machinable to tight tolerances
  • Resistance to many harsh chemicals
  • ESD grades available
