Its broad compatibility with waterborne and solventborne systems allows formulators to work across diverse polymer chemistries, including all-acrylic, styrene/acrylic and polyurethane systems. Moreover, its low usage requirements (0.5-2.0% based on total monomer, or “BOTM”) result in a cost-effective solution.

It allows excellent corrosion resistance with conventional surfactants. The performance is even better for Sipomer® MAC in combination with Reactsurf® 2490, exhibiting the best corrosion resistance versus market specialty waterborne acrylic and monomer.
Waterborne coatings formulated with Sipomer® MAC, especially when paired with Reactsurf® 2490, exhibit outstanding water resistance. Reactsurf® 2490 contributes strong blistering resistance and superior adhesion performance in water immersion tests. Together, these additives ensure that coatings maintain their resilience in high-humidity and water-exposure environments.
Sipomer® MAC significantly improves adhesion to a variety of substrates, including aluminum, cold-rolled steel, and concrete, ensuring robust and durable bonds in DTM applications. When combined with Reactsurf® 2490, it delivers superior adhesion performance, especially under challenging conditions. Furthermore, Reactsurf® 2490 enhances adhesion optimization for substrates such as hot-dipped galvanized steel, ensuring compatibility and durability across diverse formulations.
