Syensqo is all about chemistry. We’re not just referring to chemical reactions here, but also to the magic that occurs when the brightest minds get to work together. This is where our true strength lies. In you. In your future colleagues and in all your differences. And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.

During this internship, we propose to evaluate the potential of highly innovative chemical additives on the modification of emulsion polymerization conditions. When properly formulated, these new ingredients are likely to modify, for example, the hydrophilic/hydrophobic partition coefficients of other constituents of the reaction medium or influence the catalytic activity of polymerization initiators; which could potentially lead to completely altered polymerization kinetics.
In summary, although emulsion polymerization offers promising opportunities for the production of advanced polymers, its development continues to require significant advances in monomer solubilization, emulsion stability, polymerization control, and purification of final products.
This internship will primarily take place in the research laboratories of SYENSQO in Aubervilliers, in collaboration with the Institute of Separative Chemistry of Marcoule (ICSM, UMR CEA/CNRS/UM/ENSCM) in Gard.
You will be fully integrated into the FIM - Functional Inorganic Materials - department and will participate in the daily life of the laboratory. You will adhere to safety rules and quality procedures related to your position. You will work closely with shared teams (Analysis, HSE - Health, Safety, and Environment service, maintenance service, etc.) and with other entities of Syensqo.
