Bollate

Syensqo’s headquarter in Italy is located in Bollate, Milan and counts more than 450 employees. 

It also hosts one of the group’s most important research centers on a global scale, with 300 researchers committed to developing materials and solutions that meet the needs of the most demanding industries, ranging from clean mobility, space exploration to implantable medical devices.

In 2024, the site opened a state-of-the-art Application Development Labs (ADL) dedicated to developing applications for the technologies and materials of the future. The project includes an expansion of 1,300 square meters in a new energy-efficient building and represents a €10 million investment over the past 3 years. It enhances Syensqo’s offering of specialty polymers solutions that are crucial for green mobility, energy efficiency, sustainable sourcing, and more. 

The Bollate Research Center also hosts a "Dry Room" laboratory for lithium batteries, reaffirming the site’s  pivotal role in developing new applications for high-tech industries’ evolving needs.

Syensqo Specialty Polymers business is the largest activity onsite and its main production plant is located in Spinetta Marengo, in the province of Alessandria (Piedmont).
