Product Guide

Radel® PPSU

Radel® PPSU (polyphenylsulfone) is the highest performing specialty sulfone polymer in its class. Leading its competitors in creep rupture resistance, this reliable polymer offers extremely high fatigue resistance and impact strength against mechanical stress. Additionally, Radel® PPSU maintains dimensional integrity after prolonged exposure to high pressures and temperatures due to its excellent chemical resistance and hydrolytic stability. Syensqo's Radel® PPSU is a tough thermoplastic that serves as a sustainable metal replacement for advanced sanitary systems to ensure the highest levels of resistance to corrosion.

Radel® PPSU’s high heat resistance and hydrolytic stability are ideal for faucet cartridges and ensure reliable application operation under high pressure (up to 10 bar) and temperatures of up to 95°C.

Udel® PSU

Udel® PSU (polysulfone) is a cost-effective sulfone polymer with low creep, good toughness and excellent dimensional stability in hot water and high steam sanitary systems. Udel® PSU’s reliable properties guarantee resistance to oxidative aging and ensure enhanced cycle life for sanitary components. With low water uptake, high strength and heat resistance, this high-performing polymer ensures hydrolytic stability and structural reliability within hot, chlorinated water environments.

Syensqo’s Udel® PSU has successfully replaced brass in pressurized hot water applications for over 20 years. Especially ideal for sanitary system stop valves, Udel® PSU adapts to a wide variety of temperature climates for long-lasting, cost-effective sanitary systems.

Ryton® PPS

Ryton® PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) is a dimensionally stable polymer that offers low levels of water absorption in submerged sanitary components. This sophisticated material is chemically stable and exhibits excellent thermal resistance in temperatures from 95°C to 200°C (392°F). Additionally, Syensqo’s Ryton® PPS provides low viscosity to allow for greater design freedom and adaptability in components for sanitary systems.

Ryton® PPS offers advanced mechanical properties for stop valves and faucet cartridges. This dimensionally stable polymer provides complex parts with extremely tight tolerances in molding capabilities and maintains stability in harsh chemical and high-temperature environments.

Amodel® PPA

Amodel® PPA (polyphthalamide) is an aromatic polyamide that maintains high performance in humid, high-temperature environments and leads its competitors in dimensional stability due to its low water absorption. Amodel® PPA’s excellent strength, durability and creep resistance offers long-term reliability in high temperatures and outperforms material alternatives in chlorinated water systems.

Syensqo’s Amodel® PPA is used in stop valve and faucet cartridge components to assist systems with intermittent exposure to hot chlorinated water within modern sanitary systems.

Omnix® HPPA

Omnix® HPPA is a family of chemically resistant polyamides that bridge the cost-performance gap between lower performing PA66 and a higher performing polyphthalamide, such as Amodel® PPA. This durable polymer maintains dimensional stability and lower warpage through low moisture absorption in continuous water environments. As an extremely chemically resistant material, Omnix® HPPA is depended upon in modern sanitary systems for the retention of strength and stiffness at a cost-effective price for manufacturers.

Omnix® HPPA maintains durability against mechanical stress and a wide array of chemicals found in faucet cartridges.

Ixef® PARA

Ixef® PARA (polyarylamide) is Syensqo’s leading material for aesthetic development in sanitary systems. This polymer combines excellent strength with smooth, high-quality aesthetics to meet OEM standards in today’s sanitary industry. Ixef® PARA is especially applicable for systems with continuous water exposure as it provides exceptionally low warpage, shrinkage and water pickup.

Ixef® PARA’s tensile and flexural strength is equivalent to traditional cast metals and alloys at ambient temperatures. With a smooth, resin-rich surface, Ixef® PARA compounds offer a finish ideal for painting or metallization.
