Ixef® PARA can be sterilized in bulk, which helps to reduce costs and enables OEMs to produce affordable, single use surgical instruments, additionally, the advanced qualities of Ixef® PARA enable it to withstand high-energy gamma radiation without significant changes to its original physical appearance or properties.

Ixef® PARA compounds contain high levels of glass fiber reinforcement to provide excellent strength and rigidity. Yet even with high glass loadings, molded parts have a defect-free surface finish that’s perfect for painting, metallization or producing a naturally reflective shell.
Exterior Structural Components
Aesthetics are just as important as lightweighting in many interior and exterior applications. That’s why Ixef® PARA is used for semi-structural applications like door handles, mirror housings, and exterior structural components.
Appliances
The tensile strength of PARA compounds is similar to many cast metals and alloys at room temperature. Low and slow moisture absorption provides excellent dimensional stability. Highflow grades produce structural components that are very thin, extremely rigid and dimensionally stable. Typical applications in the Appliances market include those where aesthetics are important such as levers, oven handles, coffee drip grids, and external housing components.
