Most conventional disinfecting cleaners are only effective for killing germs that are already present on a contaminated surface at the time of application. Actizone® F5 utilizes the proprietary polymer system Actizone® P5, an optimized surfactant package Actizone® S5 with quat active ingredients, to create powerful and long-lasting antimicrobial formulations. Our polymer forms a thin film with antimicrobial actives that remain on surfaces for extended periods of time and continue to kill bacteria and viruses as needed over 24 hours.* The protective film produced with our polymer ensures the trapped antimicrobial actives remain ready to act on microorganisms over time. Even when continually recontaminated and eroded by repeated contact, 24-hour antimicrobial formulations with quat actives and Actizone® technology retain sufficient levels of antimicrobial actives to be effective, unlike conventional disinfectants.*
Yes, preliminary testing indicates that the Actizone® F5 disinfectant formula is effective at rapid kill of human coronavirus (a similar class of virus to SARS-CoV-2), and it protects from many common viruses for 24 hours after application.* US EPA Emerging Viral Pathogen Policy indicates that products proven effective against human coronavirus are likely to be effective as a COVID-19 disinfectant solution.
