CYTOP® 242 has been used to generate sterically hindered tertiary alkylphosphines which are, in turn, useful phosphine ligands for homogeneous catalysis. These ligands have been used in palladium catalyzed carbonylation and Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions as well as the preparation of chiral organic compounds.
