Catechol is widely used as building block in Agrochemicals, Flavors, Fragrances and Pharmaceuticals. It is used as a starting raw material to be chemically transformed by pharmaceuticals industries (technical grade). Catechol presents a wide range of applications: anticorrosion agent, antioxidant (for rubber, olefins and polyolefins, polyurethanes), chelating agent, detergent. The appearance of catechol molten is a clear liquid.
