Exhibiting under its new Chinese name, the company will present the market first commercial non-fluorosurfactant perfluoroelastomer
Syensqo, a leading global provider of high-performance materials and chemical solutions, has announced its participation in Semicon China at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from March 26 to 28. The group will be exhibiting under its new Chinese name (世索科), underscoring the company’s strong commitment to the semiconductor manufacturing industry in Greater China.
Syensqo will showcase its portfolio at booth T2129, including its latest innovation: Tecnoflon® FFKM NFS, a brand new range of high-performance perfluoroelastomers using Syensqo’s proprietary non-fluorosurfactant (NFS) technology.
In line with our commitment to phase out the use of fluorosurfactants from the PFAS family of chemicals , we have successfully innovated our first commercial FFKM materials on the market made without the use of surfactants. This will meet the industry’s evolving needs for performance, greater sustainability and supply chain security in typical FFKM applications, such as semiconductor seals and o-rings.
Syensqo’s specialty polymers for the semiconductors industry cover all process stages with materials custom-engineered to the demanding needs of FEOL (front-end-of-line) to BEOL (back-end-of-line) manufacturing, including duct coating, filtration, piping and tubing, wafer handling, lithography and the fab process. They have a proven fit in demanding applications and are widely found in the wet cleaning, deposition, dry etching and chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) steps of semiconductor chip production.
With extensive industry expertise, significant R&D investments and an advanced application development lab in Shanghai equipped with state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities, Syensqo is also well-positioned to drive the progress of next-generation sustainable semiconductor solutions. The group collaborates closely with customers across the entire value chain, from molders to tier 1 suppliers to semicon fabs.
Highlighting the new FFKM NFS technology, Andrew Lau will present “Syensqo’s Material Innovations for a Sustainable Semiconductor Manufacturing Future” during the SCC Sustainability and ESG Summit Forum on Friday, March 28, from 11:00 to 11:20 AM, at Kerry Hotel Pudong (Shanghai), Pudong Ballroom 1.
