SGI trains local guar farmers in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA), equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to boost their yields while adapting to the challenging environmental conditions. By focusing on sustainable methods, SGI not only aims to enhance crop productivity but also to improve soil fertility and resilience against climate change.
Training aligns with every step of the harvest cycle — from pre-cultivation to post-cultivation — helping farmers adopt techniques that are as eco-friendly as they are effective. These include climate-smart agricultural practices, good agricultural practices, and animal husbandry, and integrate efforts to keep farmers informed about agricultural best practices as per the guar cultivation calendar and other important farming-related information.
