Low viscosity, long pot-life and thermomechanical performance
Syensqo liquid resin and carbon fiber reinforcement technologies are used in a range of aerospace primary and secondary structures that continually evolve to meet customer requirements. We offer both one-part and two-part systems offering low viscosity, long pot-life and comparable thermomechanical performance to prepreg product forms. Syensqo single component systems are typically classed as non self reactive materials for shipping purposes, and are therefore capable of being air freighted.
One-Part Resin Systems
The use of one part systems reduces the risk of performing insitu mixing operation as part of a manufacturing process and enables long work life times for the resin composition which in turn facilitates the infusion / injection of large, complex structures such as wing skins.
Two-Part Resin Systems
The use of two part resin systems, with an appropriate mixing and dispensing technology allows for the use of reactive resin chemistry, which in turn enables lower cure temperatures and / or shorter cure dwell times than are typical for the single component systems.
