We are looking for:
The Shift Team Lead (STL) is responsible for leading and developing their team. Shift team leader helps ensure team members on shift know and meet all safety, quality, and productivity requirements. Shift team leaders is vital in communicating expectations, following up with issues, communicating issues, and getting additional resources to other areas as needed. Shift team leader will assign work assignments, audit process for safe practices, monitor and communicate team performance to team members.
We can count on you to:
Day to Day Operations
Start day by completing walk of plant floor with previous shift to understand current status of the plant.
Lead team lead huddles daily with team. Ensure that a topic is ready to be discussed and provide TL resources needed to solve problems.
Ensure TLs and all employees are having adequate shift handoffs focusing on key safety, quality, and productivity metrics
Ensure team members are completing all safety inspections, SWP, and following all SLSR each day.
Lead team leads in 6s initiatives. Provide resources for TLs as needed.
Provide recognition for team members meeting and exceeding expectations.
Communicate and assign team members daily jobs and assignments based off business needs and what they have been trained to do
Work with TLs to ensure we are hitting daily expectations around quality and productivity metrics. Work with TLS/ operators and other departments to lead improvements in areas
Audits areas to ensure all PCCs and process instructions are being followed and up to date.
Review and approve time cards for team members
Execute incident investigations as assigned by Production Unit Manager.
Participate in select Area Improvement Teams (AITs) as applicable.
Manage work cell front line tasks such as housekeeping inspections, handbook and other audits, satellite accumulation, etc. and ensures SHE compliance and 5S standards are sustained.
Act as on-site supervision on off-shifts/weekends to ensure continual plant operations.
Supervision of operations wage roll employees and operating within the established budget. Responsible for the safety of all on duty shift employees in an emergency situation.
Training
All area operators have been properly trained and understand SHE, Quality, Productivity and Continuous Improvement processes.
First aid/ CPR and rescue team member training
Authorized signer training and special authorized signer
Trained to complete SLSR audits with team members
Performance
Accountable for holding team members accountable for their performance, including issuing disciplinary action if necessary.
Work with team members to develop PIP in necessary situations.
Goal Setting
Work Cell shift goals are identified and aligned with operations Key X’s.
Work Cell shift goals are communicated to area operators.

You will bring:
Position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or 3-5 years Cytec experience
Prefer a B.S. in Engineering/Science degree. Knowledge of equipment, procedures, and materials used to manufacture prepregs, process and project engineering experience, and good knowledge of plant operations.
Familiarity with safety, practices, cost control, labor relations, preventive maintenance, and communication skills.
Must be able to deal with any situation and make an appropriate decision when referring to Policy Manual, etc.

The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $78,000 - 98,000/annually. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
