Job Summary:
The Device Management Specialist (Workstations) will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, management, and support of workstation devices within the organization. This role involves working closely with the Unified Endpoint Manager, Printing Device Management Specialist, and Mobility Device Management Specialist to ensure a cohesive approach to endpoint management.
Key Responsibilities:
Workstation Deployment and Configuration:
Develop and implement standardized processes for the deployment and configuration of workstation devices.
Ensure that all workstations are configured according to company policies and industry best practices.
Manage workstation imaging and provisioning processes.
Workstation Management and Support:
Monitor and maintain the health and performance of workstation devices.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for workstation-related issues.
Manage workstation inventory and lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work in conjunction with the Printing Device Management Specialist and Mobility Device Management Specialist to ensure a unified approach to endpoint management.
Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and other relevant teams to ensure workstation security and compliance.
Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance overall endpoint management.
Security and Compliance:
In coordination with the Endpoint Security Specialist and Policy and Compliance officer
implement and manage security measures for workstation devices, including antivirus, encryption, and patch management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security policies.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans on workstation devices.
Policy Development and Documentation:
Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to workstation management.
Document workstation configurations, processes, and support procedures.
Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Training and Awareness:
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on workstation best practices and security measures.
Promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices related to workstation management.
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance workstation management processes and tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in workstation management or a related role.
Strong understanding of workstation deployment, configuration, and management tools and technologies.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to workstation security and compliance.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus.
