We're looking for:
- The Senior Litigation Paralegal position plays a critical role within Syensqo’s General Counsel Legal Team.
The position works day-to-day with our Chief Litigation and Employment Counsel and our Litigation and
Regulatory Counsel managing the Company’s wide-ranging US claim and litigation docket and leads the
Company’s eDiscovery and legal hold processes. This position will support employment and
Environmental matters. A team player, with a superior ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task in a paced, in-house legal environment is necessary.
You'll be responsible for:
- Oversee and manage all elements of the Company’s eDiscovery obligations, including the legal hold and document collection processes, through the use of the Company’s eDiscovery compliance System and internal processes, using Exterro software.
- Primary responsibility for management of service of process, including providing instructions and guidance to sites in North America.
- Oversee and prepare responses to third-party subpoenas and record requests on behalf of the Company.
- Oversee and Manage the Company’s severance program, including the preparation of severance.
- Agreements for individual eliminations and company-led programs.
- Review, analyze, and synthesize pleadings, documents, merger & acquisition agreements, and other contracts for litigations, claims, and investigations.
- Assist in the management of the legacy asbestos docket and work with cross-functional teams such as Insurance and Finance.
- Prepare correspondence, legal memoranda, releases and other agreements.
- Identify, implement, and ensure best practices and processes for litigation, discovery, and claims
Management. - Assist with case management and reporting using Legal Tracker software.
- Assist in-house and external counsel on litigation and claim strategies.
- Participate on cross-functional and global teams to ensure compliance with litigation, reporting, and Reserve processes.
You'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Degree/Certificate or Equivalent, (preferred but not required)
Minimum of Seven to Ten years in-house or a combination of law firm and in-house.

- The base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is around $90,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

Additional Information:
Hybrid will work from home 4 days a week, one day a week in the office.
• Knowledge:
- More than one of the following disciplines: Toxic Tort, Product Liability, Environmental, Commercial, and Employment Litigation.
- EDiscovery Rules.
- Document platforms for data preservation purposes.
- State and Federal Litigation Processes.
Systems:
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Google Suite – Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Slides and Google Docs.
- At least one eDiscovery and one Legal Hold system with preference for Exterro (also, e.g., Clearwell:
- EDiscovery, Rational Governance, Open Text, Relativity).
- Case Management software is a big plus (e.g. Legal Tracker).
