We are looking for:

The I&E Craftsman performs maintenance on plant instrument and electrical equipment and systems in accordance with safety, health, and environmental policies. They are responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical, electronic, and pneumatic instrumentation for process control, including PLC’s, analyzers, and Distributed Control Systems.

We count on you for:

  • Ensure Syensqo safety and IH procedures are being implemented.
  • Repair, Install, and troubleshoot three-phase, medium, and low voltage power distribution, including transformers, switchgears, motors, variable frequency drives, and other electronic and pneumatic equipment.
    Complete required written documentation regarding instrument & electrical equipment and systems.
    Active involvement in achieving department and site wide goals in safety, environmental compliance, reliability, quality and cost control.
    Participate in safety meetings, JHA’s, HAZOP’s, and incident investigations.
    Prepare and maintain records in accordance with ISO 9001 and quality related plant safety certification requirements.
    Prepare equipment for safe maintenance operations, and compete safe work permits as required.
    Monitor and operate all Safety, Environmental, and fire related equipment including monitoring equipment, and alarms initiating emergency response notification as required
    Actively advance knowledge and skills in instrument & electrical competencies.
    Follow directions and work independently.
    Must be available for overtime and emergency call-ins during night shift, weekends and holidays.
  • Install, repair, and troubleshoot digital control systems, I/P systems, control valves, flow meters, temperature & pressure transmitters, and burner safety management systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
  • Utilize all types of industrial shop and portable tools safely and effectively.
  • Be skilled in basic equipment rigging, hoist usage, crane operations, and fork lift operations.
  • Read and understand instrument & electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

You will bring:

  • High school diploma
  • Preferred to have completed the 2-year Certificate Program in Instrument or Electrical Technology prior to start date or have at least 5 years experience in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Utility or Refinery industry
  • Good verbal and written communication

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $36.82 - $47.17 per hour. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
