About the job

We are seeking a seasoned Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence (BI) solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data models. The specialist collaborates closely with various groups in the company to ensure that decision-makers have access to accurate and actionable information for performance tracking, forecasting, and optimization. The right candidate should be flexible and open to using various Business Intelligence tools such as Qlik as the main solution, Tableau, Power BI, and/ or SAP Analytic Cloud.

Key Outputs

• Understands business needs, workflows, and decision-making processes to develop BI solutions that support strategic goals.
• Designs and develops dashboards, reports, and visualizations to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Works with stakeholders to gather requirements and translates them into technical specifications for BI tools and data models.
• Create data models and data integration solutions across various BI tools.
• Optimize data visualization techniques to produce interactive and insightful dashboards.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various data sources.
• Maintain and support existing BI applications and resolve any issues that arise.
• High knowledge and experience of BI Tools Management Console
• Supervision of support teams
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the BI environment.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on various BI tools.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Business Intelligence and data visualization.

Education and experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as a BI Developer or in a comparable position.
• Proven experience with QlikSense as well as other Business Intelligence tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or SAP Analytic Cloud.
• Good knowledge of BI data modeling, visualization, and scripting techniques.
• Familiarity with data warehousing principles and ETL processes.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

Skills and behavioral competencies

• Certifications in BI tools are advantageous.
• Proficiency in business analysis and understanding business requirements.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R.
