JOB DESCRIPTION - NEW MINES MANAGER
Mission:
Drive sustainable growth and innovation in the Eurasia region by leading new mine projects and strengthening customer relationships as a key member of the Mineral Processing and New Mines Projects team at Syensqo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, Met Labs, and engineering firms.
- Visit regularly to provide updates and strengthen connections.
- Understand the mining industry and our product capabilities.
- Strategically plan and conduct test work and plant trials, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of results.
- Deliver technical support to enhance and expand Mineral Processing sales in the region.
- Ensure confidentiality with Met Labs and respect client privacy.
- Respond quickly to sample requests and inquiries.
- Offer immediate solutions to customer problems.
- Research and stay informed about new and ongoing mining projects.
- Use databases to find new mines opportunities.
- Think long-term and get involved early in projects.
- Use cross-regional contacts to improve project outcomes.
- Keep tracking systems like Salesforce updated.
- Work well with the team, recognizing the need for collaboration.
- Access labs for testing new ores or secure funding for tests.
- Rigorously apply Syensqo’s, customers’, and all relevant safety rules and regulations to ensure compliance and safety.
- Prepare and communicate detailed reports promptly to keep stakeholders informed.
- Adhere to all Syensqo policies, including the code of conduct, anti-bribery, and anti-trust guidelines, maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
Education and Experience:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Chemistry.
- At least 5 years of relevant technical experience.
- Hands-on lab skills to conduct lab testing are essential.
- Be a self-motivated individual with skills in critical thinking and problem solving.
- Demonstrate good technical and commercial sense with a high focus on value selling.
- Desire to build excellent customer relationships.

- Be comfortable working in a home office environment and remotely.
