Anaheim Research & Innovation (R&I) Team:
1. Executing on R&I roadmap to develop and qualify new materials for aerospace applications.
2. Providing expertise in support of troubleshooting material behavior.
3. Supporting core business operations to validate new raw materials and processes changes.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Contribute to delivery of R&I objectives by executing on prescribed weekly experimental and administrative activities as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Safety critical mindset: adhere to all safety procedures, champions safety actions of others, propose new methods to improve safety and report unsafe findings to supervisor.
  • Record detailed scientific observations and effectively communicate results.
  • Maintain a lab notebook: summarize work to supervisor in written format, modify documented procedures and methods as appropriate for project work.
  • Modify documented procedures and methods as appropriate for project work.
  • Manages and tracks data from outside sources; may prepare graphs and charts.
  • Manages individual schedule for the week based on targets set by supervisor.
  • Set up and operation of standard lab equipment/activities of moderate complexity, with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative work ethics are required to support all functions, customers, and suppliers.
  • Performs housekeeping practices commensurate with the shared lab environment.

  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, curious mindset, and ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse backgrounds in adherence to the company code of conduct is essential for this role.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with peers and management in both verbal and written forms.
  • Experience in handling engineered materials in a laboratory environment.

Education and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in relevant Discipline) OR 3-5 years relevant industrial experience

 

You will get:

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $48,931.00 to $61,164.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
