This position is within the GBS Finance Service Line team and will be based in the Syensqo Headquarter in Brussels.
The incumbent will represent locally the GBS Finance Service Line Belgium & Luxembourg team and report to the Country Accounting Director for Belgium, Luxembourg and French companies.
The core mission will be to:
- Coordinate local accountants for Belgian companies. This includes an industrial company, several financial companies and the head company of the Syensqo group.
- Ensure the local tax compliance in coordination with the Belgian and Luxembourg tax advisor
- Inform and train all the stakeholders about changes in rules and procedure about tax in the country
- Interact with Tax department during tax audit or fiscal authorities inspection

- Ensuring the publishing of Group Tax Report and Local Declarations on time
- Full control of Direct Tax management in the country
- Training session updates for the team about rules and law changes
- Local support to the Service Unit (Management Accounting) about Indirect Tax (changes in rules or Tax inspection).
- Tax reporting according to IFRS rules and manage the relevant cash forecast
- Local Transfer Price documentation (aligned with the corporate figures provided by therelevant Service Unit)
- Organizing and supervise the statutory annual accounts for the Group's parent company
- Completing the training of accountants so that they can carry out tasks within their scope
- Interacting with many different stakeholders such as CFO GBU and controllers, Tax specialist, Consolidation, Other accounting teams, GBS, Internal controls team, Tax administration and institutional organization, Auditors, Legal team, Consolidation team, Work council communication

You will bring:
- Ideally graduated of ITAA or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Belgium tax rules (VAT, Income tax, others taxes …)
- Experience in general accounting and taxation 8 years (minimum)
- Knowledge of treasury principles is highly preferred
- Ability to understand systems architecture and strong IT tools knowledge in SAP ERP, BFC and Microsoft Office (good command of Excel), experience at Google is preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Strong responsibilities and be able to work under pressure.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders from all levels across different cultures
- Self-starter, achievement driven to identify, propose and fulfill challenging targets

- Fluent level of English is mandatory
