We are looking for:
A production operator


We count on you for:

  • Qualified in at least one ground operations: packaging, blending, and/or bulk offloading/loading.
  • Carry out production operations as defined by the shift leader.
  • Report all accidents, upset conditions, and near misses to the shift leader immediately.
  • Work with the shift leader to provide proper shift coverage. This includes vacations, illnesses, and OT.
  • Provide OTJ guidance for new operators on the shift.
  • Focus on plant housekeeping. Before the end of the shift, all areas are free of debris and trash, equipment put away, and all containers labeled.
  • Report all spills, unintended discharges to the sump, etc to the shift leader immediately.
  • Ensure all documentation (batch sheets, loading and unloading checklists, receiving paperwork, etc) is filled out completely and correctly.
  • Understanding of all alarms and the correct path forward given each alarm.
  • Provide suggestions for process or equipment improvements.
  • Provide recommendations on a regular basis to HSE engineers.
  • Always approach your job with the principle that all incidents are preventable. To that end you need to keep the following aspects in mind:
  • Perform the job in a sound HSE manner to protect yourself and those around you.
  • Risk assessment is a mindset, where you are always assessing hazards and thinking about means to avoid those hazards. Take a proactive approach to maintain excellence in all your assignments.
  • Be aware of your state of mind (rushing, frustration, fatigue & complacency) that leads to distractions from the task on hand. Those distractions lead to errors resulting in unwanted incidents.
  • Attend and complete all required training.
  • Job completion means Good Housekeeping, filling necessary reports, and watching for your safety and those around you.
  • Your Personal Protective Equipment is the most important tool you have as a professional chemical industry worker. Maintain and clean it properly.
  • Participation leads to ownership. Get involved as often as you can.

You will bring:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is ($23.60 per hour). Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
