We are looking for:

  • Plant Manager in Pasadena, TX to: Staff, organize, plan, and lead -
    • Overall direction of the plant to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
    • Manufacturing practices to assure a high degree of safety and process capability.
    • Lead the continuous improvement efforts within the plant.
    • Ensure the cost-effective manufacture of plant production.


We count on you for:

  • Analyze manufacturing results to ensure safe and environmentally sound operations, acceptable product yields, productivity, service level and cost
  • Participate within the community.
  • Provide support to the sales and business teams as required to meet customers’ needs.
  • Recommend and review capital spending plans to ensure regulatory compliance and improve operating costs or capabilities.
  • Employee Development activities to ensure a highly trained and effective workforce.
  • Set HSSE standards for behavior, conditions and results and hold people accountable to those standards.
  • Follow all site safety rules and procedures and lead by example.
  • Evaluate site personnel and process safety, and environmental processes for adequacy and assure compliance to governmental regulations and Syensqo policies.
  • Ensure compliance for all required HSSE training, and that there are adequate resources for normal operations and emergency response situations (i.e: Media Training).
  • Function as Site Communications Coordinator during emergency situations.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to assure compliance to existing safety rules and procedures and to assess the effectiveness and need for other risk reduction activities.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and reports are up to date and filed in a timely manner for all Governmental, Industry, and Syensqo requirements.
  • Represent Syensqo through daily actions that reinforce the corporate values; demonstrating personal commitment to a safe, healthy and environmentally sound workplace for employees and contractors while at all times being alert to the well-being of our neighbors.
  • Responsible for coordinating off-site reporting activities when a significant environmental spill/release occurs.
  • Responsible for coordination of non-emergency external communication of HSSE related issues.
  • Executive responsibility to maintain a quality management system that meets the requirements of the ISO 9001 2015 standard.


You will bring:

  • +7 years of experience in the chemical industry.
  • Broad knowledge of general chemical and engineering disciplines usually gained through a degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent Engineering or Chemistry discipline.
  • Working knowledge of all Health, Safety and Environmental standards, particularly related to personnel and process safety, air, waste, and water compliance.
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting as it relates to manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership skills are necessary for directing, motivating, and developing subordinates.
  • Negotiating skills for working with governmental regulatory agencies, customers and local bargaining unit.
  • Active Community involvement experience.


You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $133,000 to $181,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
