We are looking for:

  • This is a full time position to support the Coatings business segment of Syensqo Novecare at the R&I Center in Bristol, Pa. The position is devoted to the support of current technologies, reapplication of existing products in new applications as well as supporting the development of new products for various applications in waterborne paints and coatings.

We count on you for:

  • Be responsible for development projects to support waterborne architectural paints and industrial coatings.
  • Support the technical development of new products in additives and polymers for waterborne systems.
  • Develop new applications with existing technologies.
  • Formulate paint, and perform testing for waterborne coatings.
  • Provide technical training and technical support to customers and business teams.
  • Understand market needs for new products, identify key opportunities with customers and initiate new projects.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area and follow safety policies and standards.

You will bring:

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science. Higher degrees will be considered as well.
  • 5+ years of coatings formulation experience.
  • Strong experience working with products and technologies in architectural coatings, and adhesives.
  • Experience in polymer synthesis, especially emulsion polymerization is a plus.
  • Customer support and technical service experience with the use of additives in waterborne paint applications is preferred.
  • Strong team player and excellent collaboration skill.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $75,760 to $100,000 per year Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
